Story Time Confessions Art

Popped my flash drive in today and came across the production drawings I did for Story Time.

Haha, as you'll notice, there's not a whole lot...it was pretty weird, this animation. The first drawings I did were these

In fact it's the ONLY drawing I did of the Wolf Mama before I started animating haha! Pretty much just like "Ok. That looks good I guess. Let's do this."

It was nice! No fuss! Though I don't really think this method can work for many animations. Story Time is pretty lazy though. I am pretty lazy. I don't even feel like typing anymore. m lzy.

Oh yeah, originally I was going to draw myself with an actual recording set. Then I remembered I am lazy, much too lazy to figure out how to borrow proper recording equipment from CalArts, and pulled my iphone out of my pocket instead.

I'm now living in an apartment with three other girls, one of whom just got engaged!

As you might imagine, a lot of girl talk goes down.

So I was asked,

"Hannah...what is your type anyway?"

I.....

don't know?!?!?!

So I think it's time for some analysis.

How does one figure out her type? By taking a look at the dudes she digs, right?

I really really loved making Gastelbrau. Ever since making it I've been wanting to continue with it, too. I have a lot of ideas! I would love to make some books or comics.

More vampires! Baby Gastelbrau! (And that's not an older Gabi!)

and of course...WEREWOLFS! Who didn't see that one coming? It's against the laws of media to have presence of vampires and not eventually have a werewolf show up. Stephanie Meyer knows what I'm talking about.

Austrian Dumplins'!

I am taking a summer school class about food anthropology. For my mid term I was to read about the fascinating AUSTRIAN DUMPLING! And make a presentation. So prepare yourself for some dumpling facts.

There's a certain idea of male strength and masculinity tied to dumplings...

Women say that men expect meat and dumplings as often as possible. Some dumpling recipes are even noted as important for a woman to be able to make them to attract a man! Even though the ingredients are simple enough, a meal with dumplings, meat and gravy is time consuming and labor intensive...and that just won't do for the modern Austrian lady on-the-go.

Though their roots are in home-cooking, these days dumpling production is pretty industrialized and can be found readily available in grocery stores and restaurants. Way to go, modern civilization!

Dumplings are usually named after their place of origin. There are many names and types (none of which I will ever attempt to pronounce) such as...
